All meals for own account
Optional extra: each rest camp offers a variety of activities ranging from an early morning walk with an armed ranger in the field, a sunrise game drive in a park open vehicle, a sundowner game drive or a night drive with your park ranger and his spotlight. These are optional extras that need to be booked in advance.
We wake early for an invigorating cup of coffee and rusks (a traditional oven baked bread roll), before boarding the open safari vehicle and heading out into the sunrise where we might follow up on the animals we heard calling during the night. These calls can often provide clues as to what happened during the hours of darkness. The early morning is a good time to find the nocturnal predators, the Lion, Hyena and Leopard as they end their nightly activities to spend their daylight hours resting in the shade. It is at this time that the herbivores are at their most active, feeding in the early morning, while it is still cool and fresh.
Elephant, Lion, Hyena, Buffalo and the many species of antelope and birds, that create a kaleidoscope of colours and varieties, await discovery as we travel the dirt roads to find the prized sightings of the day.
We stop at a convenient rest camp or picnic site for a long-awaited breakfast or brunch after an exciting morning of game viewing. After the brunch break, we continue with our game drive and slowly make our way out of the park and back to your preferred place of residence or onward flight by early evening.
