2 Nights Overnight Safari in the Kruger National Park

The Kruger National Park is a vast protected area extending for over 2 million hectares, a spectacular mix of grass and woodland savannas. For this reason, there are a number of access gates through which to gain entry and exit through, once your stay has come to an end.

We are based in Hazyview on the outside of the southeastern boundary of the park. It is of course more convenient for you to be picked up in this area, but we are more than happy to meet you at your preferred place of residence either in the park or at your accommodation on the outside of the park. We can also arrange to meet you at one of the entrance gates.

Additional transfer charges may apply for collection outside the 5km radius of the village of Hazyview.

Further to this we will happily arrange transfers to and from the local airports that service this area for you.

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Remember to bring your South African ID document or, if a foreign traveller, to bring your passport with you.

Day 1, Night 1 - Hazyview to Southern Rest Camp in Kruger National Park

Your professional wildlife guide will collect you at your preferred accommodation from where we will continue on to the iconic Kruger National Park. Once we have completed the check in procedures at the gate, we will immediately begin your exciting safari and overnight stay in the iconic Kruger National Park, one of the world’s greatest game viewing destinations.

Upon arrival at our overnight accommodation, at one of the more popular rest camps in the heart of the southern Kruger National Park, we check in and unpack, before we either go out for a late afternoon game drive or make our way to the camp restaurant for a wholesome meal. We then return to our accommodation before making our way to bed as we listen to the sounds of the African night echoing across the African plains.

Optional extra: Each rest camp offers a variety of activities ranging from an early morning walk with an armed ranger in the field, a sunrise game drive in a park open vehicle, a sundowner game drive or a night drive with your park ranger and his spotlight. These are optional extras that need to be booked in advance.

Day 2, Night 2 - Kruger National Park, Southern Rest Camp

We wake early for an invigorating cup of coffee and rusks (a traditional oven baked bread roll), before boarding the open safari vehicle and heading out into the sunrise where we might follow up on the animals, we heard calling during the night. These calls can often provide clues as to what happened during the hours of darkness. The early morning is a good time to find the nocturnal predators, the Lion, Hyena and Leopard as they end their nightly activities to spend their daylight hours resting in the shade. It is at this time that the herbivores are at their most active, feeding in the early morning while it is still cool and fresh.

Elephant, Lion, Hyena, Buffalo and the many species of antelope and birds, that create a kaleidoscope of colours and varieties, await discovery as we travel the dirt roads to find the prized sightings of the day.

We return for a well-deserved brunch in the rest camp restaurant, before heading to our chalets for a little down time before our afternoon safari into the park. Returning at gate closing time, we again make our way to the restaurant for a tasty supper and a peaceful night’s sleep with the sounds of the wilderness surrounding us.

Day 3 - Kruger National Park Southern Rest Camp to Hazyview

Early wake up for coffee or tea and rusks before again heading out into the African bush at first light so as to catch the predators before they lie up for the day.

We stop at a convenient rest camp or picnic site for a long-awaited breakfast or brunch after an exciting morning of game viewing. After the brunch break, we continue with our game drive and slowly make our way out of the park by early evening and back to your preferred place of residence or airport for your onward onward flight.
